How Often Should You Clean Your Powder Coating?

  • Standard Environments: Clean every six months
  • Coastal Areas: Clean every three months due to higher exposure to salt and pollutants

How to Clean Your Powder

Coated Surface

Follow these simple steps to safely maintain your powder-coated finish:
  • Remove Loose Debris – Use a wet sponge to gently wipe away dust and dirt
  • Wash with Mild Detergent – Use a soft cloth or non-abrasive brush with a mild
household detergent solution to remove grime, salt, and other residues
  • Rinse Thoroughly – Wash off all detergent with clean, fresh water to prevent residue buildup.

All surfaces should be cleaned using a soft cloth, sponge or a soft natural bristle brush
Safe Cleaning Products:
  • Mild soapy water or pH-neutral cleaners
  • Soft, non-abrasive cloths and brushes

Note

Avoid using strong solvents, as they can damage the powder coated surface over time. For general cleaning, we recommend using a soft cloth or sponge with mild dishwashing liquid and warm water. This helps maintain the finish without causing harm to the coating.

Why Regular Maintenance Matters

  • Prevents Fading & Discolouration – UV exposure can gradually dull the finish.
  • Protects Against Corrosion – Salt, dirt, and pollutants can weaken the coating over time.
  • Extends Lifespan – A well-maintained powder-coated surface lasts significantly longer
